Problem Solved.
Event program managers, at a leading tech company, were in a bind to develop promotional content online for tech summits, expos and breakout events with the possibility of gathering attendee registrations. I was already an Eloqua expert in developing email campaigns, newsletters and other communications internally and externally.
I asked the team in need if they would give me the opportunity to explore solutions using the Eloqua tool…possibly in a way it had never been used previously at the company.
I explored the tool, tested and developed an intake request form.
Problem Solved!
Microsites were born with a Main Landing Page of image blocks, with CTA’s (call to action), clickable links to deeper content pages, booth location information, breakout session details and social connections. These sites worked like major website builds, published publicly, and connected to other forms completely trackable with attendee registration collection and site metrics, etc.

Landing Pages.
Fully customizable with images and color design using Eloqua tool.
Main page made of image blocks. Top image (full or split) links to home landing page and bottom four blocks contain links opening new landing pages with ‘learn more’ content (i.e., home, overview, agenda, sessions, social, etc.). The four bottom block content stays consistent throughout site to allow toggling between content. Home is always accessible via logo or via home link located on every page. Each page is listed and accessible no matter where user is currently viewing. No lost searching for content, all fully navigable with title links, for a comfortable user experience.

Content Elements.
After creating the template in Eloqua and receiving sign off on the visual design, I had another challenge. How do I collect the content surrounding these builds that will make sense to the requestor and to myself, the visual and technical designer. I knew I needed a form, in excel, to organize and keep track of requests, details and changes. I quickly developed a form that contained visuals of where the content would live and how it would work. Walking myself through the user experience helped me to develop the visual design intake form that would be used in each build.
